2011 Walk-A-Thon

Thousands of walkers turn out to support SSBTR

The 10th annual Phoenix SSBTR Walk-a-thon was held Feb. 26, 2011 at Saguaro High School in Scottsdale.

Organizers were looking forward to great weather and an exciting event, with approximately 3,000 people from 100 different schools participating at this venue.

This year, the student-run group also held its third walk-a-thon in Tucson, along with a Fashion Extravaganza event, and it's second event in Flagstaff, Ariz.

Funds raised from the walk-a-thons benefit Barrow Neurological Foundation and other groups supporting brain tumor research.
