Did you know?
- The Fall 2010 Health & Wealth Raffle -- launching in August -- will be our 15th raffle.
- The Health & Wealth Raffle was the first raffle of its kind in the U.S. That’s why we call it "Arizona’s original raffle."
- The Raffle has given away more than 114,000 prizes, including $14.5 million in cash and 26 homes.
- More than 1.8 million Raffle tickets have been sold since the Raffle began in 2003.
- The Raffle has raised more than $50 million for St. Joseph’s and Barrow.
- Raffle dollars have funded more than 300 projects at St. Joseph’s and Barrow.
- Funds from the Raffle are particularly important to the hospital because they are unrestricted, meaning that they can go toward any project within the broad umbrella of education, research, and care for those in need.
- Most Raffle participants say they purchase a ticket because it benefits St. Joseph’s and Barrow.
- All prizes and services to run the Raffle are purchased locally wherever possible, benefiting businesses and people in our community.
- The cost of a Raffle ticket continues to be $100, with a limited number of 3-tickets-for-$250 packages available. Tickets must be purchased in the state, but participants do not have to be residents of Arizona to win.
- Raffle tickets purchased during the Appreciation Phase of the Raffle are entered into all three drawings: Appreciation, Early Bird, and Final draws.
- More information about the Health & Wealth Raffle is available at HealthWealthRaffle.org.
- The IRS does not consider the purchase of a Raffle ticket to be a gift to charity, and thus the cost of a Raffle ticket is not tax deductible.
