Working towards a future that’s free from the grip of brain cancer
Dear friends and supporters,
I’m reaching out to you today in remembrance of the life and legacy of my husband, Rick Oehme. A devoted father to Tanner and Riley, a loving son, and a loyal friend, Rick fought a courageous battle against glioblastoma before passing away in 2012. As the founder of the Rick Oehme Foundation, his dedication to raising awareness and support for brain cancer research was unwavering, and his memory continues to inspire us.
Tragically, our family was struck once again by the devastating impact of brain cancer when Rick’s mother, Lois, lost her battle with an astrocytoma brain tumor in 2021.
The pain of their loss serves as a reminder of the urgent need for continued research and resources in the fight against this terrible disease. In honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month this May, The Rick Oehme Foundation is proud to announce that it will be matching donations up to $100,000 in support of the Ivy Brain Tumor Center. Your contribution will not only honor the memory of Rick and Lois, but also make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by brain cancer.
Together, we can continue Rick’s mission and work towards a future that’s free from the grip of this devastating disease. Please consider making a donation today to help us reach our goal of contributing to a cure for brain cancer and providing hope for a brighter tomorrow.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
Cynthia Oehme
