Vanguard of stroke care

In addition to providing the Barrow Emergency Stroke Treatment Unit to the community, Barrow is at the vanguard of stroke care and treatment through innovative research. Researchers in the Barrow Stroke Program are developing two new drugs to reduce the damage of a stroke and improve recovery from one. For patients like LaVon and so many others, Barrow helped transform what could be disabling to something that is manageable.
