Jimmy and Nancy Walker
Jimmy Walker is the founder of Celebrity Fight Night Foundation, which has raised millions for charity through an annual star-studded event. Each spring, a host of entertainers, celebrities and professional athletes from around the country join Muhammad and Lonnie Ali for this gala. The event includes amazing silent and live auctions, a gourmet dinner and a dazzling show.
The event’s chief beneficiary is the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center (MAPC) at Barrow. In 2010, MAPC moved into a gorgeous new facility, thanks to the support of Celebrity Fight Night, and in 2014, the center was more than doubled in size, thanks again to Celebrity Fight Night.
The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center and Movement Disorder Clinic at Barrow Neurological Institute is a National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, serving as a resource for Parkinson's disease patients and their families. The spacious new facility, which is located on the third floor of the Muhammad and Lonnie Ali Pavilion, houses one of the most comprehensive Parkinson’s centers in the country.
Celebrity Fight Night is the second largest donor to Barrow Neurological Foundation. Jimmy has also served on the Barrow Neurological Foundation Board of Trustees, and his wife, Nancy, is the chairman of the Barrow Women’s Board and co-chaired the 2007 Barrow Grand Ball.
