Dan Burns returned to Exos as Chief Executive Officer in late 2024, after serving for five years as Executive Chairman of the company’s board of directors and as CEO for ten years prior to that. Dan can be described as Exos’s roots and its wings: His deep experience and history with Exos coupled with his expertise in emerging technology position him as the ideal leader for the company’s next phase of growth. Exos is the global leader in sports and human performance, providing data-driven, personalized coaching through technology-enabled solutions across elite sport, military and Fortune 500 companies. In late 2025, Exos announced the acquisition of sports technology company Infinite Athlete including its subsidiary, Biocore – a biomechanical engineering and data science firm that is the NFL’s longstanding player health and safety partner.
Dan also serves as a partner of Monsoon Venture Fund, general partner of the Sonoran Founders Fund, and sits on several additional business boards, as well as the Board of Trustees of the Barrow Neurological Foundation. He’s an associate faculty and advisory board member at Arizona State University’s Allan ‘Bud’ Selig Master of Sports Law and Business Program and is a co-founder of ASU’s SPORTx, fusing sports and entrepreneurship through its pioneering student-athlete venture studio. Prior to joining Exos, he began his career in consulting at Bain & Company and then in business operations at the National Basketball Association.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from Amherst College, graduating magna cum laude, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
