Pesticides & Parkinson’s Risk
BNAC investigators found that individuals exposed to high levels of pesticides and herbicides often used in farming have a 36% greater risk of developing Parkinson’s disease.
Dry Cleaners & Parkinson’s Risk
A new study from BNAC found that people living within approximately 500 feet of a dry cleaner had a 14% greater risk of developing Parkinson’s disease. These findings add to growing evidence linking long-term exposure to chlorinated solvents, including trichlorethylene (TCE), with Parkinson’s disease.
Air Pollution & Alzheimer’s Risk
Utilizing U.S. Medicare claims, a study from BNAC found that the combined effect of heat and air pollution significantly increased the likelihood of Alzheimer’s-related hospitalizations.
