Michele S. Gregory has served as the President of Barrow Neurological Foundation since June 2025. An accomplished advancement executive, Michele brings three decades of experience in healthcare, academic medicine, and higher education philanthropy. Her proven expertise aligns with Dr. Michael T. Lawton’s vision for advancing life-saving innovation in research, patient care, and medical education at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Most recently, Michele served as Assistant Vice President of Medical Advancement at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (WMC), where she led fundraising operations and strategic direction across key areas including the Neurological Institute, Heart & Vascular Center, Dorothy H. Davis Heart & Lung Research Institute, University Hospital, and the College of Medicine. During her eight-year tenure at WMC, she consistently surpassed individual revenue goals of $5 million to $17 million and team fundraising targets ranging from $25 million to $150 million.

Michele’s extensive career also includes leadership roles as Chief Advancement Officer at Equitas Health, Senior Vice President of Development at Children’s Hunger Alliance, and Director of Development at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. She holds an MS in Education Administration from Syracuse University and a BA in Communications from The State University of New York at Geneseo. Her comprehensive background in cultivating transformational gifts makes her an invaluable asset to Barrow Neurological Foundation.
